We would like to welcome you to the official website of the Bellmore Striders. The Bellmore Striders are Long Islands Premier Racing Team. Organized practice is held three times a week, led by coach Alex Cuozzo. Alex has been tedious in committing himself to the sport of running and maintaining The Bellmore Striders for 30 years. The team has acted as a support structure in helping young talent develop further into competitive runners, post collegiately. Alex himself has completed 15 marathons, including a win at the 1986 Long Island Marathon. 2009 Summer Training Program (starts on Thursday July 9, 2009):

Tuesday: we will meet at Bethpage State Park at 6:00 pm for warm up exercises, 6:30 pm fartleck workout starts.

Thursday: we will meet at Sunken Meadow State Park at 6:00 pm for warm up exercises, 6:30 pm workout starts.

Sunday: we will meet at the Greenbelt Trail (Massapequa RR station parking lot) at 9:00 am for warm up exercises, 9:30 am long run starts.
